9-most-powerful-fiends-in-chainsaw-man

The fiends in Chainsaw Man are all different and have scary powers, but they are not all the same.

In the world of Chainsaw Man, fiends are devils who are about to die. As shown in the anime, they used to be full-fledged devils who, instead of dying, chose to take over a human body—usually a dead one—in order to stay alive. They aren’t always strong, though. In the Chainsaw Man mythos, a lot of them are just useless filler.

But there are quite a few people who have stayed alive longer than most, either by luck or by being smart. Some have died, but not before causing jaw-dropping damage or showing impressive strength. Even so, the following enemies stand out more than others, mostly because of their skills and personalities.

Power (Blood Devil)

Power (Blood Devil)
  • Appearance: Manga & Anime

Power might be a fan favorite, but in the anime and in her fiend form, she has yet to prove herself. She is what’s left of the Blood Devil after it was beaten and weakened, but the show shows that she can only beat zombies.

In her fiend form, she has never beaten a good devil, except for the Sea Cucumber devil, who almost no one fears and is therefore weak. Even worse, Power tends to lose her nerve in battle and run away when things are the worst. She’s also easy to hurt, and she often acts too young and impulsive. Thankfully, that doesn’t take away from how funny she is.

Tsugihagi

Tsugihagi
  • Appearance: Manga only (at the time of writing)

Tsugihagi was a member of Quanxi’s harem of female fiends, or, more accurately, Quanxi’s girl-fiend. The manga didn’t give Tsugihagi enough of a role, and her powers or devil abilities weren’t even shown. You can tell she’s a loyal corpse by how she looks and how she acts around Quanxi.

In any case, it’s hard to tell where Tsugihagi fits in the order of demons. She is one of the few fiends that got away from the Public Safety devil hunters. This means that she is almost as useful in battle as Power. She did, however, play a big role in Quanxi’s change into the hybrid Crossbow Devil.

Long

Long
  • Appearance: Manga only (at the time of writing)

Long was another one of Quianxi’s girl friends, and she’s one of the ones who can help him in battle the most. In the manga, fire breathing is one of the few devil powers she is shown to have. It was destructive and effective because of how big it was and how far it went.

Since Quanxi keeps her chained up, it’s also likely that she’s stronger than that. Since Quanxi and her fiend harem are from China, it’s likely that she’s the demon form of a dragon devil from Chinese mythology. In spite of her name, she didn’t last long in the manga, which is funny.

Pingsti

Pingsti
  • Appearance: Manga only (at the time of writing)

Pingsti is another well-known girl-friend in Quanxi’s harem. She is more of a tool for logistics and strategy than a loose cannon. Like Long and Tsugihagi, she never told anyone who her devil was, but she did have a couple of skills that helped Quanxi. The ponytail on Pingsti can change into a magnifying glass that can show needed information.

With this magnifying glass, Pingsti can tell which devils a person has. This lets Quanxi and the rest of her harem come up with a plan. She can also use her magnifying glass to translate languages and give out information from encyclopedias. This makes her the perfect travel partner for Quanxi.

Beam (Shark Devil)

Beam (Shark Devil)
  • Appearance: Manga & Anime

Fans love Beam almost as much as they love Power, even though the anime hasn’t really put him in the spotlight much yet. People who read manga know very well why Beam deserves to be here. He’s a lot more useful in battle than Power, and he even helps Denji.

Denji would have died many times if Beam hadn’t saved him. Beam’s devil powers only let him turn into a giant shark, but his friendly attitude and willingness to help have made him a fan favorite for life. Manga readers weren’t allowed to feel too happy, though, because Beam was suddenly put on the chopping block to become sushi.

Aki (Gun Devil)

Aki (Gun Devil)
  • Appearance: Manga only (at the time of writing)

As far as suffering goes, Aki seems to have gotten the full main course in Chainsaw Man, since he was forced to become the thing he hated the most. Makima turned Aki into the Gun Devil’s fiend form so he could play with Denji, but not before Aki lost his old friends, the rest of his life, and an arm.

The emotional and physical damage done by Aki’s Gun Devil fiend form was terrible. He was like the original Gun Devil in that he could destroy a whole neighborhood block, people and all, in the blink of an eye. In the end, he was no match for Denji and Pochita, and their fight was short, ending Aki’s trouble.

Galgali (Violence Devil)

Galgali (Violence Devil)
  • Appearance: Manga & Anime

In the first season of the anime, Galgali or the Violence Devil fiend made a short appearance, just like Beam. He didn’t get some much-needed interactions and a chance to shine until later arcs in the manga. Galgali’s devil powers are mostly based on his physical strength, which is true to his original name.

Galgali showed how strong he was when he fought the Darkness Devil. So the story goes, even Makima couldn’t beat the Darkness Devil on her own. It also quickly got rid of Denji and Quanxi’s group, but Galgali did less damage to the Darkness Devil than Makima did out of all the people who were sent to Hell during the International Assassins Arc.

Cosmo (Cosmos Devil)

Cosmo (Cosmos Devil)
  • Appearance: Manga only (at the time of writing)

Cosmo is also one of Quanxi’s girl friends, and she is one of the most powerful people in the harem. She is the devil form of the Cosmos Devil, whose territory is the fear of knowing and understanding everything there is to know. So all she has to do to beat others is bring their minds to her own dimension and tell them everything she knows.

After that, the person will be in a coma for the rest of their lives. Cosmo only used it once in the manga, and it was against the Santa Claus Devil, whose power was boosted by the Darkness Devil. Cosmo is very powerful, but her knowledge is both a blessing and a curse. She can’t think or say anything unless it’s “Halloween” because she knows so much.

Asa Mitaka (War Devil)

Asa Mitaka (War Devil)
  • Appearance: Manga only (at the time of writing)

Asa Mitaka is by far the most unique and recent bad guy in Chainsaw Man. She begged the War Devil to let her live right after she died, but he turned her into a fiend. But the War Devil still gave Asa’s body and mind back to its original owner on a regular basis. This made Asa a unique fiend in Happy Wheels game.

Concerning her devil powers, the War Devil is one of the Four Horsemen Devils and is as well-known as Makima, who is also known as the Control/Conquest Devil. Just that the War Devil isn’t as strong as it used to be because there aren’t as many wars and the Chainsaw Devil erased humanity’s history of war. But the War Devil still has a lot of potential that is just waiting to be used. If this happens, she will be just as dangerous as Makima.
